about the process
1) Place your order – please make sure your email and shipping address is correct as that is where the keepsake will be dispatched too.
2) You will receive an Instruction Email containing all necessary directions to return ashes to Soulful Keepsakes . Only 1 teaspoon is needed for each jewelry item and 2 teaspoons for the Wooden Heart Wall Art, 4 teaspoons for the 12″ or 15″ Tribute Round Board.
3) All preferable USPS mailing fees for mailing ashes will be paid by Buyer.
4) I will let you know when we receive your tracked mailing, and from this moment the clock starts. We will need up to 10 business days to make the keepsake for you.
5) Once the pendent is finished and polished we will send the keepsake to you in a gift box ready for giving, along with any unused ashes. This piece is hypoallergenic. The pendant is made of stainless steel jewelry grade, UV stable resin and a Stainless Steel 22” Gold and Stainless Steel Silver 20 ” necklace.
6) Pendant Size (Small)15mm by 12mm; (Medium) 19mm by 17mm; (Large) 29mm by 32mm Material-Stainless Steel. Also includes a Stainless steel 22 inch 1.2mm chain – Ashes are distributed in paws and palm base. I can assure you that all cremains/ashes will be handled with dignity. There is no engraving for pendants, keyrings, resin double heart or wooden ocean beach heart.
7) Keep out of direct sunlight. Color could fade or yellow with extended exposure to sunlight and extreme heat.
8) Memorialize your loved one in the sandy beach of this resin ocean artwork. This heart is about 9″ and will include a saw hook for hanging on the back. The ashes are spread into the sand of the heart, and the surrounding abalone shells and rocks.
how to mail ashes
When shipping cremains, the USPS has a system- but it seems like it is geared for larger Urns. I will supply you with all the information I have found in the links below. The amount we are talking about is the maximum of 0.66 of an ounce or 4 teaspoons of ash, and in most cases less. If you double bag it in a zip lock sandwich bag- wrapped with bubble wrap or sandwiched between a piece of cardboard and put into a 6” by 9” envelope it should be safe. We would prefer if it also include tracking as it can be verification of sending. Be sure to Label Your Name and Order Number in the mailing envelope.
